Well first off you can see that I have used this product rather a lot and it is clearly well loved. Mehron have included all of the essential colours that a make-up artist could ever ask for to create each different stage of a bruise. The colours in order from the swatches are; Burnt maroon, Midnight sky, Spanish olive, Maize yellow and Bloody rose.
Pros: The pros to this product is the fact it is very affordable, this bruise wheel's RRP is only £12!! It is very easy to get hold of in the UK ranging from shops such as; Dauphines, Team Pixie, The face painting shop and Camera ready cosmetics. The colour pay off is incredible, I swatched each colour on to my arm and that was just ONE swipe, no primer was used and the photograph has not been edited or enhanced in any way. You get 1oz of product which may not sound like a lot but it really is a generous amount, this product will last you a very long time if used correctly. Another pro with this product is that you can either use your fingers like I have shown, use a sponge or brush, it is that versatile that you can get different effects with each colour and it blends beautifully. The packaging also makes it a statement piece for your SFX kit due to you being able to store it nicely and to throw into your kit.
Cons: The cons to this product are that although it is creamy and easy to blend, it can easily spread too much if too much product is applied, it also leaves a very shiny texture once applied on top of wax and this product will eventually wear off after several hours of wear. Another con unfortantely is that this product can melt if in hot environments, so NEVER leave on the window seal like I have.
Would I recommend this product? YES! I would 100% recommend this product to anyone who is thinking about purchasing it and I will also be purchasing another one when I run out this one.
